I was taught to sew by my Grandmother at about 5 years of age and started making my own clothes and some for a girlfriend in junior high and high school.
In later years being a single parent of two boys and working full time I didn’t have much time for sewing except for an occasional Halloween costume or the usual request from friends for hemming something or doing repairs.
I met Judy Kessinger about nine years ago at a trunk show she did for my ASG group and was immediately hooked. At that time Judy was doing private lessons in her home in KY. That same afternoon I told my husband that’s what I wanted for my birthday and being the dear man that he is he made that happen and the rest is history. Judy and I have become fast friends and she is the sister that I never had. Her patterns, method and endless great ideas never cease to amaze me and I have absolutely loved every minute that I have worked with her.
I am so happy and proud to have been able to become one of her Certified Instructors and pass her incredible knowledge on to other sewing sisters and to make our garment sewing exciting again but most of all, fun and easy.
