Project Linus is dear to me because of my experience…10 years ago my beautiful grandaughter was born along with her equally beautiful twin.
Elizabeth weighed 2lbs. and Abigail weighed 3lbs. It was one of the happiest and saddest days of my life. Abigail only lived for three hours. Then all the attention needed to be turned to Elizabeth. She was in the intensive care part of the NICU a very short time. When she was moved to the “big girl” incubator we all celebrated. I still remember seeing that beautiful blanket draped over her new home. I am thrilled to say that she is a very healthy, happy , smart little girl that loves hearing this story and she even learned to sew last year.
I designed this garment for the Louisville group to raise money for their Project Linus Club. If you belong to a club anywhere in the world–contact Shelia sldm49@att.net and she will tell you how to use the pattern as a fund raiser.
