Merry Christmas with Orange Juice Cake

missy-orange-juice-cakeMerry Christmas with friends and baking.  The only thing better is friends and sewing together.

So I combined the two.  Sewing friends for breakfast!  But we spent till after lunch sharing!

I love this time of year because it gives me an opportunity to catch up with the Louisville girls.

Wanted you to know of all the things I made for the holidays—the Orange Juice Cake was

the most popular.  I served it with slices of orange and plenty of my favorite—coffee.

Do you get together with friends during the holdiays?  Let us all know  how you celebrate?

Do you like to cook?

Just for you, here is the recipe for the cake—enjoy!

ORANGE JUICE CAKE

  • 1  Box yellow cake mix
  • 1 Box 4 oz Vanilla instant pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ½ cup pecan chips (I used chopped Sugared Pecans)

GLAZE

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • ¼ cup orange juice

In bowl combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, orange juice and oil until batter is lump free. Grease Bundt pan and sprinkle bottom with pecan chips.  Pour mix in pan and bake at 350 deg for 35-45 minutes. Once cake is finished cool for 5-10 minutes and begin making orange juice glaze.  Melt all ingredients in small saucepan on medium high heat.  Remove cake from pan. Use toothpick to poke holes into cake and pour hot glaze over cake.  Yummy, yummy!
